Late Night Punjabi is a Vancouver-based Punjabi music and culture platform covering trending tracks, artist reviews, exclusives, and playlist curation across the global Punjabi music scene. From AP Dhillon and Diljit Dosanjh to Navaan Sandhu and Karan Aujla — the platform covers the artists shaping the culture right now. Today the brand has grown to 531k followers on Instagram.
The challenge with this project was not just building a website — it was building a specific website. The client had a clear reference in mind: an exact design and feature set they wanted replicated, adapted for their brand and content. That meant understanding how a complex editorial blog is structured under the hood — sections like Trending, Reviews, Exclusives, Playlist Central, LNP Originals, Track of the Day, and a newsletter subscription — and rebuilding that experience from scratch, pixel by pixel, without taking shortcuts. The platform today has 531k Instagram followers. The bar was always that high.
What I Built
A full editorial blog platform built on WordPress — designed to feel like a proper media outlet, not a personal blog. Two weeks of focused work to get every detail right. The client loved the result and the site has been actively publishing ever since.
The site needed to feel like a real music media brand — bold, fast-moving, and visually driven. I built a full editorial homepage with multiple content zones: a featured hero for LNP Originals, a Trending section, a Blog feed, Track of the Day, and a Spotlight area — all pulling dynamically from WordPress categories. Each section has its own dedicated archive page: Trending, Reviews, Exclusives, and Playlist Central.
Beyond the layout, the site includes a newsletter subscription flow to keep readers locked in, a Spotify playlist embed for curated listening, and social links across Instagram, YouTube, Apple Music, Spotify, and TikTok. The search functionality lets readers find specific artists or tracks quickly — essential for a content-heavy music platform.
This was the most technically demanding project in terms of attention to detail. The client had a clear vision and a high bar — and delivering on that took two full weeks of iteration to get exactly right. Once live, the client was happy enough to stay on for ongoing support. The platform is actively publishing content and growing its audience across Vancouver and the Punjabi diaspora.
A media platform that feels like it belongs next to the biggest names in Punjabi music coverage.
Late Night Punjabi launched with a site that matched the ambition of the brand — covering artists like AP Dhillon, Diljit Dosanjh, and Navaan Sandhu alongside the emerging names shaping the culture. The platform has grown to 531k Instagram followers, the client loved the result, kept me on for ongoing support, and has been consistently publishing and growing its readership ever since.
Two weeks, high expectations, and a client who knew exactly what they wanted. Getting it right and keeping them happy is what I do.
